Description: I. An officer shows the correct methods of mounting a horse, sitting at attention and at ease, trotting, the extended trot, leading off alternate legs and a dressage test. Following this, other riders jump. II. A party of six drill sergeants shows the correct and incorrect postures for attention, stand at ease, marching in file and halting, marking time, dressing, and saluting, all without weapons. Carrying rifles, they demonstrate the attention and at ease positions, fixing bayonets, bayonet guards and practise with "the blob", and against straw dummies. This ends with a demonstration of rushing a dummy trench system.
